TriMet MAX Red Line
Portland’s TriMet MAX Red Line light rail service directly connects the Doubletree Portland and the Portland International Airport. The trains run about every 15 minutes almost all day, every day. Check the schedule for exact times.
Tri-Met ticket machines are located near Baggage Claim. Travel time to and from the Doubletree Portland and the Portland International Airport is approximately 38 minutes. The first train arrives at the airport at 4:45 a.m. and the last train departs at 11:58 p.m. The TriMet will drop off passengers ¼ of a block from the Doubletree Portland.
Fares vary based on zones. There are three TriMet zones plus a free zone and more information can be found on TriMet’s web site: http://trimet.org/fares/index.htm#farechart. The one-way fare (ticket expires after 2 hours from time of purchase) from the Portland International Airport to the Doubletree Portland is $2.30. A one-day pass starts at $4.75.
Driving Directors from the Airport
Follow Northeast Airport Way toward Northeast Air Cargo Road for about two miles. Take the ramp onto I-205 S. Take exit 21B to merge onto I-84 W/US-30 W toward Portland. Take exit 1 toward Lloyd Center. Stay right at the fork in the road and follow signs for Lloyd Center. Merge onto NE 13th Avenue. Turn left at NE Multnomah Street and the entrance to Doubletree Portland will be on the left.
