Portland’s premier convention headquarters, the Doubletree Hotel Portland – Lloyd Center, is conveniently located a short walk from the Oregon Convention Center and is directly adjacent to the MAX light rail line. The hotel is across the street from the Lloyd Center Mall, one of Oregon’s largest shopping centers.
With total renovations almost complete as of April, the guest rooms of the hotel provide striking views of Mount Hood and the city skyline. The Doubletree is a Green Seal Certified Hotel and thus is committed to responsible environmental business practices.
A block of sleeping rooms has been reserved for AAAR attendees at the Doubletree Hotel Portland – Lloyd Center. The single/double rate at the hotel will be $164.00 plus applicable taxes, currently 12.5%. A small percentage of sleeping rooms will be offered at the prevailing federal per diem rate. Reservations must be made no later than SEPTEMBER 27, 2010.
Please note that the block of rooms reserved for AAAR attendees is expected to fill very quickly. Once the block is filled, sleeping rooms will be offered on a space availability basis and will be charged at the prevailing rate.
It is important to know that the Doubletree Hotel Portland is a bit smaller than the hotels utilized by AAAR the past two years. As a result, the inventory of double-double rooms (two queen beds) is somewhat limited. If you are planning to share a room, please reserve your sleeping room well in advance of the deadline so you can obtain the room type that you want.
If making your reservation by telephone, identify yourself as attending the AAAR conference. Reference the GROUP CODE: AIR. Government-rated rooms have the GROUP CODE: ARG. (Per contract, there are ONLY twenty (20) government-rated rooms held per night. Thus, it is imperative that this type of room also be reserved early, as there will none remaining in advance of the deadline.)
