A note from the 2010 Exhibit Chair, Tom Merrifield

Dear Fellow Vendors:

The American Association for Aerosol Research (AAAR) invites you to participate and exhibit at the 2010 Annual Conference which will be held October 25-29, 2010 at the Oregon Convention Center, Portland, OR. We anticipate over 750 attendees, the majority of whom will present their research during either platform or poster sessions.

Take the opportunity to learn the latest advances across the spectrum of aerosol research.  In addition, there will be numerous networking opportunities of which you can take advantage.  And, as always, academia, government, and industry researchers will have a vital role in this conference.

Exhibit booths will be located in Hall A at the Oregon Convention Center where all social events, including session breaks, poster sessions, and the Exhibitors’ Reception will be held. Your booth fee includes three days of exhibition, beginning Tuesday morning and ending late Thursday afternoon after the final poster session.  The Exhibitors’ Reception is planned for Tuesday evening.

Tuesday through Thursday will begin with a general session at 8:00 AM followed by the exhibit hall opening at 9:15 AM for a coffee break.  There will be two (2) major poster sessions, one of which will offer a box lunch to all attendees.   As previously mentioned, the Exhibitors’ Reception will be held on Tuesday evening and will offer substantial opportunities for networking in addition to food and beverages.

In response to exhibitor evaluations from past conferences, we have worked with the scheduling to allow more productive hours in the hall with attendees and have attempted to give you quality time.  Please see the schedule on page 3 which lists the timing in more detail.  This is a beginning on our part to make your experience at the 2010 Annual Conference more rewarding!  You will notice that set-up is scheduled during the afternoon on Monday, October 25.  This will allow you the flexibility of arriving in Portland on Monday rather than Sunday if you prefer.

As a departure from past conferences, all activities will take place at the Oregon Convention Center.  Discounted hotel rooms have been contracted with the Doubletree Hotel Portland, less than a three-block walk or MAX (light rail) ride from the OCC.  See the 2010 conference website for further details: http://aaar.conference2010.org.

Please join us for an outstanding conference in one of the greenest cities in America.  We look forward to welcoming you to Portland in October!!
